Grown in red volcanic loam soils by smallholder farmers participating in the Mugaga Farmer’s Cooperative Society, each operating farms at an average of 5250 feet above sea level, this selection of SL-28 and SL-34 cultivars was fully washed and sun-dried on raised beds at the Kagumoini Factory, located near the town of Karatina in the Nyeri county of Kenya.
