Hacienda Manuelita Gesha, Costa Rica
This year, we’re excited to feature this beautifully complex Costa Rican coffee harvested from 100% Gesha (or Geisha) cultivars on a farm called Hacienda Manuelita. Gesha cultivars are known for their bright and floral notes and for their concentrated sweetness, and this coffee is no exception. In this case, the floral notes manifest as a flourish of pine, balanced out by a sweet nuttiness and a crisp touch of citrus and cranberry. Its flavours are matched perfectly to the holiday season, which makes this coffee an excellent companion over the holidays.
This fully washed selection of Gesha cultivars was grown in the rich volcanic soil of Manuela Echeverría’s farm Hacienda Manuelita, which is situated at the foot of the Poas Volcano 4265 feet above sea level in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica.
