This year, we’re excited to feature this beautifully complex Costa Rican coffee harvested from 100% Gesha (or Geisha) cultivars on a farm called Hacienda Manuelita. Gesha cultivars are known for their bright and floral notes and for their concentrated sweetness, and this coffee is no exception. In this case, the floral notes manifest as a flourish of pine, balanced out by a sweet nuttiness and a crisp touch of citrus and cranberry. Its flavours are matched perfectly to the holiday season, which makes this coffee an excellent companion over the holidays.

We’ve reserved a very limited amount of this coffee particularly for the Christmas season because of its remarkable and (remarkably Christmassy) flavours. As a result of an experimental processing method that involves anaerobic fermentation of the coffee beans just after harvest, this coffee is rich with flavours like gingerbread, cinnamon, and vanilla, complimented by a round sweet flavour of ripe peach or cooked apple. This coffee is sweet, warming, and perfect for the holidays.
